| About anzpetsit anzpetsit was formed to fill a need for improvement within the pet sitting industry and to increase awareness of professional pet sitters in Australia and New Zealand. As this industry is still relatively new to Australia, there is little historical data available to benchmark the local industry. Until now, the industry has largely been shapen by the American market. anzpetsit aims to educate the general public, the pet industry and all pet sitters about the current trends that we face and give members a common voice across Australia and New Zealand. Professional pet sitting is a rewarding career which is growing quickly. This industry needs to have common practices in place to ensure that clients are receiving quality service. anzpetsit has developed required criteria for membership as well as a code of conduct and quality standards. These have been put into place to offer peace of mind to the public when searching for a professional sitter. |

| If a pet sitter is unable to meet the criteria for membership, anzpetsit will work with the sitter with resources and information to allow that professional to achieve membership status. We endeavour to have a registered pet sitter available locally to all residents of Australia and New Zealand by 2010. Pet owners deserve quality service and they must be assured they are receiving the highest standard of care possible. |
