home free of charge prior to any pet-sitting assignment to meet the
customer and most importantly to meet and get acquainted with the
customer's pet(s). |

Provide up to date and valid

Provide written documentation
which clearly outlines the fees and services offered. |

Provide proof of owners and
staff members holding a current police clearance which is not more
than 2 years old. |

Outline all experience in caring
for pets and show an obvious concern for their safety and overall
wellbeing. |

Provide proof
of holding current public liability insurance coverage. |

Demonstrate a high level of
professionalism when dealing with staff, customers and fellow pet
sitters so the pet sitter and the pet sitting industry are portrayed
in a positive light. |

Have a veterinarian on call
in case of emergency. |

Ensure the customer has returned
home by calling the customer or by having the customer call to notify
of their return. |

Carefully screens candidates
for employment. |

Have a plan in place to care
for pets in case of poor weather conditions or personal illness. |
12. |
Take care to ensure a customer's
absence from home is not known due to careless actions of the pet
sitter. |

Provide a feedback and rating
form for customers. |
